Fried Egg, I'm In Love

Fried Egg, I'm In Love

dot - Gravity

You know how you and your lover are always talking about a weekend getaway to a cabin or some shit? You're going to sit in front of the fireplace drinking wine and eating chocolate covered strawberries and eventually, you'll be like ooo we're all alone up here with no cell service let's be sexy and and make sensual love. In reality, you're probably too full from eating "treat yo' self" vacation food and you sneak wish you had a bottle of Tums on hand. Regardless, this tune "Gravity" is the expectation. It's the dream you have in the car ride to your destination. It's all vibes and ooo baby and let's undulate on the dance floor. Forget reality! This is better. -Eavie

Joseph Ember - Exit Society

Xylophones are officially my spirit animal. While I've asked my producer boyfriend to feature them at the heart of all of his songs, he seems to think that I'm joking about this. Thankfully, someone else has come to the rescue. "Exit Society," the latest from Joseph Ember (formerly known as Ursa Major), features a sultry bassline, bluesy guitars and the xylophone of my dreams, seductively wrapped up in Joseph's longing vocals. Brb gonna trade in my iPhone for one of the xylo variety. -Katie

courtship. - Sunroof

Feel good Friday, come through! If this song isn't the sound of summer, seriously I don't know what is. The only way this song could've been better is if I were listening to it in my beloved La La Land driving along Sunset, hookin a left on 2-1 and Lewis to pick up Brent (Ken) so we could cruise and be Barbie girls for the rest of the day. Top down, volume up, that's the way I'd like to fuck...ing listen to this Cali jam rather than dancing around in my chonies in my NY apartment while it buckets rain outside. -Frankie

machineheart - Shelter

Let’s. Roll. I am into this tune. Bizarre metallic percussion and intimate vocals suck us in instantly on this new machineheart tune. Backed up by whirling pads and fragile harmonies, Stevie Scott’s lilting melodies dance like flickering lights. And with dusty drums building those tiny embers into flames as the song goes on, we’re left with that perfect amount of modern flavor to keep us hooked at every turn. -Stephen

Bonobo - Kerala (Kev La Kat Edit)

Kev La Kat rhymes with is all that.  Because he is.  The UK producer tips his remix hat to bonobo giving his fellow Brit's "Kerala" a hug around the neck.  The song pleasantly overwhelms with a multitude of sounds, blending hip hop, electronic, and pretty much everything but the kitchen sink.  Unlike most songs that build to a climax, Kev La Kat puts the pedal to the metal right out the gate and doesn't let up. -Brent
