Doctrine: Play

Doctrine: Play

If you're looking for gospel-pop, look no further than Doctrine. And if you have no idea what gospel-pop sounds like, neither did we. Until Play came into our lives. But now that we've got it, we couldn't imagine a life before it. This sublime twist of choir-like leads and urban production really speaks for itself, but if you'd like the recipe for yourself we're including it below.

1.)Take equal parts Chance The Rapper/Kanye West vintage vocals samples and smack them front and center as the lead

2.) Mix with a big gummy bass backbone, tasteful amounts of string stabs, and a handful of swirling sidechained synths.

3.) Sprinkle lightly with trap drum tones and plenty of 808 cymbals.

Of course, Doctrine has a secret sauce that makes this next level, but hopefully that gets you started. In the meantime, we'd like to place an order with Doctrine for 5 more of these songs on the quick. An EP as soon as possible would actually be amazing. Can we make that happen? Thanks. Love, KKS.
