Danelle: Broken Sentences EP

danelle-broken-sentences-ep You know how in classic movies the lead character will walk into a bougie downtown hotel and there's always a sexy lounge singer crooning next to a piano? In real life that shit never happens, but if we were all living in a movie about the future and we were on a space ship with a hotel bar and lounge, you might find Danelle there just crushing it in a slinky dress. (Style TBD of course since it's the future and all...) "Chairs" is sexy and moody and will make you want to live in a black and white Instagram filter posing like a pin-up girl. - Eavie

Nostalgic feels takes center stage on Danelle’s second track off the Broken Sentences EP. "Numb" starts simply enough, two sweeping notes oscillating back and forth. But from there the lilting production sways between those rolling guitar tones & big trap drums with Danelle’s voice acting as the common thread that ties this one together. Laced with melodic earworms that grab your attention instantly, there’s an almost hypnotizing effect that comes from listening to this deceptively simple tune. And just like the production feels like a rhythmic merry-go-round, You’ll find yourself coming back to it again and again and again. - Stephen

I'm pretty happy in my relationship these days, but if there was one song that could convince me that "I don't need no man," track 3 from Danelle's EP definitely fits the bill. "Nobody" (a collaboration between Danelle & Salda), features sassy yet subdued vocals that glide across the track with ease, confidently proclaiming "I don't need nobody to make me feel good" as a confident snare leads a parade of independence across the dance floor. Quick, someone take away my phone before I break up with my boyfriend for no reason. - Katie

I'm getting Cartier commercial vibes. Cut to: Full montage spanning a couple's lifetime relationship starting in grade school passing notes flashing forward to prom, skinny dipping, proposal, wedding, traveling, dog, kids. Not to say it's all white picket fences, with the highs come lows, but they're quickly put in perspective all too relatable. I may be spiraling into my own meaning of the song but - back to Cartier - "Love Again" has renewing wedding vows written all over it. A beautiful glimpse into life, love and the reveal of the brand new Love Bracelet, anniversary edition. - Brent
