[PREMIERE] Badflite Feat. Frida Walala: The Void
'Void' by definition means: completely empty. The same cannot be said about Badflite's newest single, "The Void," featuring 19-year-old singer Frida Walala, which is chock-full of stylized, synth-heavy melodies and ambient, ethereal soundscapes. These artists do not shy away from the curiosity permeating the song's smooth textures, in fact, they seem to embrace it while wearing their hearts on their sleeves, resulting in something ever-so spacious yet bursting at the seams with intimacy that serves to captivate and transfix their audience.
"To achieve love we must let go of all our illusions, drop all ‘properties’ that attach us to this material life, we must undress our masks to finally undress our souls. A naked soul released from the body will be free to find ‘The Void,’ the absolute silent, the nothingness, this apparent emptiness and solitude where true love is born. Silence is comprehension, the wise remains silent and silence is love, and this expression of love can be only experienced in another dimension where there’s no matter at all." - Badflite
