[PREMIERE] St. Lucia: Winds of Change (Bahner Cheerleader Remix)

[PREMIERE] St. Lucia: Winds of Change (Bahner Cheerleader Remix)

St. Lucia - Winds of Change (Bahner Cheerleader Remix) Put your technicolor windbreakers on and lace up your Avia's, we're going straight back to 1988. Brought into being by Bahner Cheerleader, this finger-snapping, FM Synth-clad masterpiece has fashioned our hair into an immaculate mullet upon first listen. With juicy pads, a serious groovy bounce, and ear-tickling top end, Bahner Cheerleader reinvents the 80's, today. With St. Lucia's newest reboot, we're riding the winds of change straight back to the era of sax solos and cheesy montage scenes. And nobody can stop us. Also, peep their newly announced tour dates below. You're not gonna want to miss them. This I promise you.

"The Winds of Change is my personal favourite from Matter. I know that's weird to say because it's kind of like choosing your favourite child, but it's the kind of pop song that I always hope to write when I think about making a new album, the kind that has equal amounts of melancholy and joy. The moment I wrote it I felt like I'd cemented the vision for what our second LP was going to be. It's also the song that was the most difficult to get right (we mixed it 5 times from scratch), but I couldn't be happier with the end result.

I also really love the approach that Carl took on his remix. I'm a massive Fleetwood Mac fan, and he seriously upped the Fleetwood ante which literally had me grinning from ear to ear the first time I heard it." - Jean of St. Lucia
