BLU J: UMBRLA
I swear to mother nature, BLU J, it took me near seven years to get Rihanna's "Ella ella eh eh" out of my head, and now this? On top of that, I can almost hear Bootsy Collins picking up his bass guitar and saying "Oh, hell nah. Does this BLU J guy think he's going to out funk me?" I guess if you're going to stir up the pot, you might as well flex your song selection and deliver a groove that's above and beyond, which UMBRLA most definitely is.
Listeners, beware. Whether you're inside the comfort of your home, outside casually walking down the street trying to mind your own business, or in the middle of the Sahara desert (or Coachella's Sahara Tent for that matter), a torrential downpour is among us. A flash flood of deep house tones, melodic alterations and a funky throwback electronic lead that is no match for a real umbrella, but a perfect fit for those dance moves you make when no one's watching.
