[PREMIERE] RosesandRevolutions: Let Go
We at KKS are big fans of Rochester, NY indie folk duo Roses & Revolutions. Made up of Alyssa Coco and Matt Merritt, R&R remind us of The Lumineers and Colbie Caillat or The Civil Wars. They’ve shared stages with Sheryl Crow, Ingrid Michelson, and The Head and the Heart among others.
The band says of the video and song: "The concept for the video came from us reading about a girl that sent up a Chinese Lantern with a note attached to it. Somebody found the note and responded. This video portrays that anything can happen if we learn to let go and finally set something free. The animation starts off with a little girl sending up a Chinese lantern and it follows it's wacky and bizarre journey. It encounters all sorts of madness and navigates time travel before finally reaching it's destination. "Let Go" was meant to be a fun/feel good song and we wanted the video to reflect that mood. We're huge fans of old cartoons and animations! The video was all hand drawn and animated by Nate Merritt.”
