R u d e: #001 Winter EP

artworks-000108531859-dckep8-t500x500 Upon first glance of my inbox, the names of various artists i’ve previously heard stick out to me, but one strikes the top; Rude. And their debut ep?! I click it. I listen. Four tracks. I stop and breathe… I think we’ve got a winner here.

Rude’s debut EP, aptly named "#001: Winter EP”, is a magnificent debut, highlighting the talent we’ve been shown before by the brave musketeers of alternative pop sounds, but also signs of a really strong aesthetic in the making here. Heartbreaking lyrically but groundbreaking musically, Rude showcase a strong talent within the EP whilst introducing new songs; firstly Sapphire, a frozen and ghostly piece quite different from the speedy but frail Heartbreaker and Icecold, which features an un- named female vocalist, and boasts a sophisticated and haunting production. This EP covers all ground that a debut should and we just want another email with the subject title, #002… Outstanding stuff.
