Night Drive - Easy To Lie (Music Video)
Night Drive drops their latest electro pop single and sci-fi influenced video, Easy to Lie, kicking off the year to an energetic start. Followed by Young Rivals, released late last year, Easy to Lie is the second featured single from the band's forthcoming album. True to form the Texas duo create a fast-paced storm of pulsing bass and percussion, covered over by a fog of ethereal synths.
The band teamed up with NYC native Christian Haberkern to produce and direct the accompanying video. Christian had this to say about the final product:
"Inspired by sci-fi films such as Mad Max and Blade Runner, along with spaghetti westerns, New York City filmmaker Christian Haberkern created a subtly dystopian future in which the main character discovers an orb that allows him to eclipse the off-kilter planet. Shot mainly at night, the short film uses visual effects to explore C.S. Lewis’ idea that, “If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”
In addition to this collaboration with the Austin-based band Night Drive, he has worked as a visual effects artist on films such as Captain America, Thor, Robocop, and others. christianhaberkern.com
