[Premiere] Album Stream: In-Flight Safety - Conversationalist

avatars-000091764540-c6uunl-t500x500 Two weeks ago we premiered Nova Scotia based, In-Flight Safety's latest tune "Caution Horses" in anticipation of their upcoming album release slated for later this fall. Conversationalist is due out later this fall and we're stoked to serve up the entire album a bit early for your streaming pleasure. In their third full length album, the Canadian rockers took an entirely different approach to making their album and it shows in it's strength. Tunes that we're particularly fond of include the albums opener, "Animals" with it's upbeat but melancholy take on the human condition. Then there's "Destroy" which is an epic, soaring ballad fit for the scene in the film where Molly Ringwald and Jake Ryan finally fall in love.

The album as a whole is an incredibly cohesive effort in a day and age where singles are all the rage. It's refreshing to see a full body of work that is complete from start to finish. Mixed by Gus Van Go (The Stills, Hollerado) in Brooklyn, NY, Conversationalist is crafted with meticulous attention to detail. There’s beauty in opposites and this record is both pragmatic and ethereal, it builds and burns, leaving you wanting more. It’s a love letter and a breakup in one album.

If you're stateside you can catch them this October in New York at the annual CMJ festival. Dates to be announced. The album is due out this fall via Ooh La La Records. Pre-order the album here!
