The Eagles: Hotel California (WET PAINT Remix)
"Hotel California" has been given several interpretations by fans and critics alike, but the Eagles have described it as both "the high life in Los Angeles" and "a journey from innocence to experience…that's all." Personally, I'm more interested in Wet Paint's interpretation. Their dancefloor-friendly remix is packed with vibrant electro/funk builds, clean synth broken chords and a heavy drum beat that effectively drops into an anthemic big room track.
After a season of sharing the stage with some of their favorite acts including Gramatik, Kaytranada, Lunice, Torro Torro and Viceroy, Wet Paint is in the studio preparing their EP which will be released in December, to be followed by a Spring 2014 tour.
"We've been planning our tour for a while now; still in the studio working on our EP and some bootlegs but also arranging a live drummer and guitarist for our summer schedule. The EP is going to be pretty chill, we are big fans of Rustie, Cashmere Cat, Gramatik, etc. so our musical taste is all over the board; I guess that it will show in our EP and future releases."
