[VOTE] Beyoncé: End of Time (Tune In Crew Remix) + Official Remix Competition

Uber-diva and proud new momma, Beyoncé, is releasing her next single from her album 4. The drum-line driven track, ‘End Of Time’ is getting some single release love and has already been remixed in the lead up to the release. But Beyoncé is feeling extra generous and is offering up 4,000 dollars and official release for the winner of a remix competition open to any and all of her fans and budding producers/DJ/Remixers out there.

This morning I was very happy to find an email from, KKS favorites, Tune In Crew with a link to their submission for B’s contest. The remix loses the drum-line, but not the energy. Tune In Crew packs the remix with unbelievably bright and uplifting synths, gives the funky guitar and saxophone a much welcomed prominence throughout the track and create a joyous and infectious dance beat that cannot help but be compared to Janet, Whitney and Michael in their youthful heydays. This is one very special remix and reinvention of ‘End of Time’

CONTEST: Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream Box Set

Guess what? If you haven’t noticed, we are in a recession, hence, your friends at Kick Kick Snare are partnering with The Smashing Pumpkins to deliver you a free copy of the newly released, Siamese Dream Box Set. It’s got tunes (including my all time favorite Smashing Pumpkins Track: “Soma“), information (see below), and video (recorded in my current home of Chicago, IL, at the Metro in 1993). Project Aloft Star: Submit For The Chance To Play @ Live in the Vineyard

Project Aloft Star, the first-ever musical artist discovery program created by a hotel brand, is a virtual battle of the bands whose champion will get to kick off the main stage at Live In The Vineyard, a music festival in Napa Valley, this November. The winners will also have the opportunity to rock Aloft hotels throughout the United States as part of an Aloft-sponsored tour.

This talent search contest will be conducted via the hotel group’s facebook page here under the Rock Out & Win tab. The top 3 bands will be chosen based on a combination of votes from facebook fans, Aloft guests, and Live In the Vineyard artists, and the winning artist will go on to play at Live in the Vineyard in November and participate in a cross-country Aloft Hotel tour.

We are super excited to share OK Go‘s new video for End Love with you. We’ve already watched it at least 5 times and counting. In the continuing spirit of the brave, new OK Go world, you can watch it below, or on their YouTube page.
