Nabiha! Where to start. I’ll start aesthetically I suppose. As a half-Asian gal my hair does one thing.. stays straight. Thus, I’m immediately so envious of Nabiha’s glorious hair! It’s total perfection. Everything about her just makes me happy. This track is super catchy, the video is adorable, she’s got great style, an amazing voice, and she’s already huge in Denmark! I have a feeling these Danish-African soul/pop tunes are going to sweep the nation faster than Tamagotchis. She’ll be playing NY and LA later this month. Get your tickets!

Twins blow my mind. I understand the science behind it (pretty much) but still, matching humans or two humans just hanging out growing into babies together in a belly is extreme! I totally believe in twin myths too. Reading each others minds, knowing when the other feels intense emotions, accidentally wearing the same outfit.. I buy all of it! Here we have two twins Nicole & Natalie as Nina Sky on the track “Day Dreaming.” I wish I could tell their voices apart. But instead it’s twin power and great harmonies made possible only by being kin. It’s a fun track with little flashes of Rihanna mixed with a few samples I think Aaliyah would approve of. I don’t really know what this song is about, but worth a listen regardless!
ALLURE is Lorris Piasco, a Parisian electropop artist with an ear for music and eye for flair. His new EP titled “I Will Change”, which features vocals courtesy of Jordan Lee and is now available to pick up a your local digital music outlet. As a bonus to all remixers, you can download the acapella version to give the single your own spin. You’ll have to step up your game though, because Jordan Lee’s remix is pretty damn on point! Well I am not sure how I missed tease #1 for Let It Go, but thank god I discovered it and a very sneaky tease #2 for Run, Run, Run. My favorite band is back! After a busy, busy year working with some of the very best DJ’s the world has to offer (Diplo, Martin Solveig, Kaskade) the trio is prepping for a new album, tour and a fantastic time at SXSW & Coachella. I am so excited I can barely type this post. (sorry for any uncorrected typos)
After nearly a year underground (or lurking in the dark corners of who-knows-where), the Gorillaz’s Murdoc Niccals has resurfaced and is again wreaking havoc — this time over the airwaves. The miserable despot breaks his radio silence to let you lovely kiddie-winkles know that he’s now created some new kind of monster. Stay tuned in to find out what it is.
Antonio Paul, Australian indie pop group, first exploded into my ears in October 2010 with they unbelievably fun track ‘City Lights‘. It was part of the Treasures EP and was made in a shed in one of their backyards with nothing more than an iPad, sample pad and a guitar. From their D.I.Y. days they have come along way, touring and playing large festivals in Oz. They have just released their second EP, End of the World, and the 3 song EP is still packed with tons of upbeat energy, infectious melodies and their signature fast paced guitar and vocal delivery. It definitely continues where Treasures left off.
