Taking a break from a Kat Krazy fueled sprint to “do all the things” was prompted by a chat between myself and Mr. Summer himself, Viceroy. Where he sent me the link to the below remix. I am not a big fan of dub, and trap I can take it or leave it. Growing up in DC/MD area, hip-hop and grimy beats like trap are all around you, so by proxy you pick up the good and forget the bad. Though both happen less and less today, thank you noise canceling headphones!
All that aside, this is one hell of a f***ing fantastic remix. Coyote Kisses, in my book destroy (THINK TKO) the original and give it a whole new life and energy. It is easy to see why they beat out 400 entries to win Mad Decent’s remix contest. It’s fun, a little playful, sexy and a little dirty. Very different ends of the spectrum here folks, and they balance it all out PERFECTLY, while seemingly sounding like they did is all from somewhere in space. Click, listen and get ready to move.
