Usually I’m only at a loss for words when I see a really adorable dog cross my path. I kind of gasp and squeal like a child and suppress thoughts of snatching the pup up and making a break for it. But, I’m so excited about this project I don’t really know how to talk about it. Morgan Nagler, whose previous band, The Whispertown 2000, released their album “Swim” in 2008 has re-emerged as simply Whispertown with a shiny new record called “Parallel” to be released through Acony Records on March 20th. “Open the Other Eye” is such a great synthy-pop track, with guest vocals by Maria Taylor. You can shimmy to it or sit back and try to interpret the deeper meaning of opening your other eye. Morgan as Whispertown is such a talented darling it’s no wonder the musical company she keeps range from her label owned by Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings to Jenny Lewis, Neva Dinova, and Andy LeMaster. Tickets are on sale now for Whispertown’s release party show March 23rd at Hotel Cafe!
