Daktal is the collaboration of two brothers: Jacob and Jerome Farah. Together, with baked-in inspiration from a musical upbringing, they’ve created a unique blend of Electronica, Funk and Hip Hop that would make any parent proud. They’ve already proven one of the most important remixing musts…song selection. I was really hoping they’d pull this off, and they certainly surpassed my expectations. Not only that, there’s more. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. When it’s right, it’s best to take things nice and slow.
After being featured on Triple J’s Unearthed Competition and receiving much acclaim, Daktal’s debut EP ‘Steps Of Zilla’ will be released on Common Trolls this Summer. The EP will be the first showcase of the
vintage disco; synth pop meets Happy Hip Hop style for Daktal. The music on the EP is said to be in similar elk to that of contemporaries like Bag Raiders, The Avalanches and Daft Punk.
