Overflow is the first single from Little Majorette’s upcoming debut album “Rifle Heart” (Sweden Music/Universal Music, April 2011).
All members of the trio are deeply rooted within their respective music-scene. Zoe Durrant is the former vocalist of indie Londoners Havana Guns and has appeared on a number of other recordings, notably the British Trip Hop act Sneaker Pimps‘ “Bloodsport” release. Petter Winnberg and Nils Tornqvist were both in the iconic Icelandic reggae rockers Hjalmar and continue to work side by side in the touring ensemble of the Swedish-American supergroup Miike Snow, the latter for whom Little Majorette was the opening act on their Swedish tour.
All namedropping aside, their hearts always remained in the studio in Stockholm. Between live gigs and other engagements, Little Majorette went about recording countless hours of material, not really giving any thought to releasing it. Maybe it’s the curse of the true artistic mind that the desire to create overshadows the will to expose your creation.
