Kristine Elizabeth is like adding cream to strawberries; such a peculiar deliciousness of her very own. Her musicality and versatile voice are mature beyond her years. Her track Don’t Give Up seamlessly captures the essence and subtle beauty of confessional and timeless songwriting. She tells me of the track, “it’s not always having to get people back for the dumb shit that they do.”
One of my most memorable moments is seeing this girl bang on her piano in this cozy acoustic setting in Studio City. A perfect dive bar of sorts. Loud television screens, drink orders being shouted to the bartender, drunk laughter in atrocious volumes. I’ve never seen someone silence a room as she did. With no need for a spotlight. Just her voice.
